Dr Sailaxmi Gandhi started her career as a nurse.
Dr Sailaxmi Gandhi started her career as a nurse.
She
later became a nurse-tutor and made forays into the realm of integrating mental
health education with service and research. She uses a variety of multi-sensory
and innovative methods in teaching, and has trained psychiatric patients
undergoing rehabilitation.
The
professor has already won laurels like the President's silver medal and an
award for the best nursing tutor in Karnataka.
